What we learned this week

  • China commissioned its first aircraft carrier this week. It’s just a training vessel for now, but I suspect this may not be the last time we hear of it.
  • Amidst all the hand-wringing over Islamic extremism protests this week, it’s easy to miss the reaction of the people of Benghazi, where the US ambassador was killed – it’s a good story.
