Dear Sirs,
I am currently in my final year at Birmingham University, and I am doing a project on recyling and looking at landfill sites for both Industrial and Domestic waste, Also I am researcing land reclemation of old quarry’s and mines.
would it be possable for you to send me any further information, regarding landfill sites, especially the Nuneaton/Warwickshire, West Midlands, area of England?
Could you also let me know how an area is chosen for a landfill site?
Also what regulations do you have to comply with for example any European polocies that one has to follow as guide lines, eg. What is deemed Domestic Waste, Industrial & chemical waste? and how are they disposed off saftley? Do all landfill sites produce electricity, from methaine gas, as a waste by-product which is then fed into the main electricity grid ?
