A note for your diary if you’re in the Midlands area – the Energy Saving Convention 2016 takes place on Thursday the 24th of November at the iCentrum in Birmingham. Organised by the University of Wolverhampton and Climate KIC, the focus of the day is on smart and sustainable energy use in buildings. Speakers include Bill Dunster of Zed Factory and Jimmy Aldridge from IPPR, there’s a live demonstration from WikiHouse, and plenty of exhibitors and experts from sustainable construction and renewable energy.
I’ll be there with my futurist hat on, talking about technological drivers of change. If you enjoy my ‘building of the week’ posts, or are interested in sustainable construction, then this is a convention for you.
It’s free to attend, but places are limited and you’ll need to register here.
