The cost of water

Something to think about next time you get your water bill. Here’s how our water prices compare to those in developing countries:

How-much-does-your-water-cost

That’s not the cost people are paying every day, but the cost for 50 litres, which is what the World Health Organisation considers an adequate level of consumption for health and hygiene.

It’s from WaterAid’s State of the World’s Water report for 2o16, in which I was disappointed to find out that Madagascar is among the ten worst countries for water access. 48% of the population currently lack clean water.

If you want to do something about water access, consider making a donation to WaterAid today.
